Review: Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes mascara

I recently bought the Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes mascara since Lancome’s mascaras never seem to fail me and look at how cute the packaging is! 
I’ve never been so disappointed in my life.

I’m a huge fan of Lancome’s Hypnose Drama, so I was anxious to try the Doll Eyes mascara. I’ve only used it for a day and I was ready to get rid of it as soon as I can! According to the Sephora website, it says “This expert formula lifts and thickens every single lash without weighing it down.”

….That is the biggest lie ever.

It doesn’t really thicken but it is good for defining but I already have my Givenchy Phenomen for that. I have really thin lashes and I was hoping this would make my lashes look a little bit thicker but it didn’t really do the job. Also, it didn’t really hold curls that well and it doesn’t apply evenly. It kinda clumped and it made my lashes look irregular in length. 

This mascara flaked a lot on me a lot and caused black smudges under my eyes. Thank God I was only at my apartment when I wore the mascara.

The only thing that stands out about this mascara (besides the fact that it sucks) is the cone shaped applicator brush, which is okay but not great. There’s really no “WOW” factor in this mascara besides the cute packaging.

Maybe it just didn’t really work out for me, I don’t know. But I’ve never been so disappointed in my life on a Lancome product.

If you want to try out this product, I recommend going to Sephora since they let you return products even if you opened it and used it.
